theemdash: (SG-1 Jack & Daniel The Light)

I've been rewatching SG-1 and just hit Season 4. During Season 3, especially after "Forever in a Day," I was doing a little lip-biting over some of the Jack and Daniel interactions, especially the "solid foundation" in "Shades of Grey" and Jack's reminder of Daniel's shoes in "Maternal Instinct."

But then I hit "Small Victories."

And Daniel rushing to the 'gate room when the rest of SG-1 gates in.

And then Daniel having to make the call to detonate the sub with Jack and Teal'c still on it.

And Jack and Daniel communicating with just their names.

And then Daniel realizing Jack and Teal'c were okay and becoming wordless in his joy.

...

Where is my fic folder of unfinished ideas???

PS Does anyone have any fic recs set around early season 4? I can't remember anything set around "Small Victories." (Also, sadly many of my bookmarks are dead and I haven't been diligent about finding if the fics have been reposted elsewhere.)

PPS Maybe this will encourage me to actually archive everything on AO3 like I keep saying I will.

Also I saw green_grrl had responded to -- I know she has great recs. I still have an SG1 recs list here, linked to on my profile page. it's by author, though, not by theme or episode. But you might find some stuff you haven't seen or would like to reread.

Back when Delicious was a useable thing I had tagged SO MANY FICS by season and theme so I could find things, but that's not as usable now (and many of those links are dead). I really should just make rec lists like you guys have.

Yesssss, thank you! Also, I don't think I recognize any of those titles so they're all new to me! (Funny how much we can immerse ourselves in a fandom and still have read only a tiny fraction of the fic available.)

Most of my stuff is J/D, but I read gen fic, too! ;) (Actually toward the end of me posting stuff even my J/D became pretty gen-focused with their relationship in the background.)
