Stargate Mythos: Hathor is found buried in a sarcophagus in a Mayan temple--this is the first time a sarcophagus has appeared on the show; at least some Goa’uld can sense where the Stargate is; there is a Goa’uld drug that can be used to control humans; there are Goa’uld queens that breed larva Goa’uld; “good” Goa’uld are mentioned, but Hathor is obviously not one of them; the Goa’uld queen needs DNA from the host species to ensure compatibility; the Goa’uld within Teal’c protects him from Hathor’s drug; Jack joins the club of those that have been resurrected by the sarcophagus; there’s a supply of tranq. guns in lock up C

Daniel Obsession:
What’s the Daniel of it?: Daniel’s “preposterous ideas” about the connections between various ancient civilizations is mentioned by the archeologists who find Hathor. The archeologists track Daniel down and send him the sarcophagus. Daniel is the first to fall victim to Hathor’s mind control. While under Hathor’s control, Daniel explains that Hathor tried to prevent Ra from enslaving the humans and was a much loved goddess (which is straight out of the Book of the Dead, apparently); she now wants to help them defeat Apophsis. Daniel is left alone with Hathor and becomes her sex monkey Chosen One, a.k.a. first pharaoh. Hathor has to give him a mega-dose of the chemical to get him to agree to help her create more Goa’ulds. Daniel is either in shock or just heavily under Hathor’s drug after his “encounter.” Daniel has enough wits to beg for mercy for Sam, though. When Hathor is “destroyed,” Daniel screams; he also has to be removed by Jack and Sam. Daniel comes around and they all seem to have forgotten about the fun mind-control (except Daniel recalls that most of the DNA from the Goa’ulds will be his).

Translation Time/Artifact Alley: Daniel notes the oddness of finding a sarcophagus with Egyptian hieroglyphics in a Mayan temple. Daniel explains that Hathor was the Egyptian goddess of fertility, inebriety, and music. Daniel figures out that Hathor is a Goa’uld and she’s been imprisoned in stasis on Earth for over 2,000 years.

Oh, Danny Boy: 2--Jack calls him “Danny” when Daniel suggests having Hathor debrief them. Hathor refers to Daniel as “Beloved” (though I'd like that stricken from my memory). Jack also mumbles, "C'mon, Danny" as he and Sam escort Danny from the burning tub of Goa'uld (thanks to silver_glass for catching that one).
