Previous Episode: Episode 1.01-1.02 “Children of the Gods” Fun Facts.

Episode 1.03 “The Enemy Within”

Planetary Tally: 1--SG-2 was ordered to go to P3575, and SG-1 to P38577. At the end of the episode SG-1 goes to P3575, so it can be assumed that SG-2 (not SG-1) explores P38577 (therefore P38577 does not count toward the SG-1 Planetary Tally).
Season/Series Total: 3

Episodic References: This episode directly relates to “Children of the Gods” (episode 1.01)—Kawalsky’s goa’uld, Teal’c’s betrayal of the goa’uld, the abduction of Sha’re

Quote of the Week:
Jack: Y’know, I’m kinda partial to P3575, if you don’t mind taking P38577.
Kawalsky: No, I’ll take P38577.
Jack: I’m not married to it. I want to be fair about this. How about we flip for it?
Hammond: How about you go where I tell you to?

Introducing: Dr. Warner

Hello Again: Kawalsky

Stargate Mythos: the iris is 3 micrometers from the event horizon and is similar to “bugs on a windshield”; the DHD is like a phone; the Tauri is established as Earth aka the First World—where all the human slaves/hosts originally came from; an infant goa’uld can’t exert complete control over a host; the Goa’uld cannot be surgically removed; Goa’uld have genetic memory; the Goa’uld symbiote does not communicate with its Jaffa; it is established that because Kawalsky’s Goa’uld could use SGC access codes that something of the host must remain; Teal’c is assigned to SG-1

Fashion Week: The traditional green with black tees--they don flak jackets at the end of the episode when they’re ready to go on a mission.

Auto Destruct: 3 (presumably set for 3 minutes each time)
Season/Series Total: 3

Full Body Exam: Kawalsky is examined, though not by Dr. Frasier. It’s implied that Sam is treated in the infirmary after the goa’uld in Kawalsky attacks her.

Laid Up: Kawalsky, though not a member of SG-1, is in the infirmary most of the episode.

Brain Washing 101:

Chain of Command:
Jack was a bit insubordinate when joking with Kawalsky about which planet they wanted to go to (see the Quote of the Week); Jack mouthed off to Hammond about questioning Teal’c’s loyalty to the SGC; Jack barges in during the inquisition of Teal’c; Jack mouths off to Hammond about Teal’c being taken for study

Putzing with Props: Jack fumbles with his hat a bit.

Daniel’s Dead: Season/Series Total: 1

Murray Alert: Season/Series Total: 1

Techno-Babble: Sam goes on about the iris being 3 micrometers from the event horizon.

Good Luck, SG-1:

There’s Always Room for Jello:

Stargate Scorin’:

Daniel--Season/Series Total: 1
Jack--Season/Series Total: 1

Daniel Obsession:
What’s the Daniel of it?:
Daniel spends most of his time worrying about the abduction of Sha’re. This leads him to be the one to discover the body of Dr. I’m-a-dead-extra, and to hope that the successful removal of the Goa’uld from Kawalsky could mean good news for Sha’re.

Translation Time/Artifact Alley: Daniel explains the DHD (although very briefly)

Caffeine Habit: Daniel has one cup as he talks with Sam about Sha’re and another during Kawalsky’s operation.

Headgear:
Flak Helmet: 1--Daniel puts it on as he enters the ‘Gate at the end of the episode
Season/Series Total: 2

Perfect Vision: Daniel takes his glasses off to wipe his eyes when talking to Sam.

Oh, Danny Boy:

Shooting a Load:

Mop Up, Aisle 5:
2--he was standing in the control room looking gorgeous—nice arms; Daniel in his flak jacket.

Seriously, look at that arm
