I forgive Sci-Fi for cancelling SG-1.
It's true. Because if they hadn't have cancelled SG-1, the writers and crew would not have had the time and focus to actually write and film a story this good. HOLY CRAP. 90% of this movie is about the characters and not things exploding. It is everything I love about SG-1 and pretty much nothing I have ever hated about it.
I . . . I cannot express how very, very happy I am with this film.
Dude. I liked Serenity, but this is what Serenity should have been.
Now please excuse me while I go watch the movie again.
P.S. Did Daniel have the best lines or was it just Shanks's delivery? Because, holy god, fantastic lines. And, and, and! DANIEL CURSED! YAY!!! That made me so happy. He cursed twice even! HEEEEEE!!!

FINALLY someone else on my Flist agrees with me. Several persons on my Flist have actually not only not liked it but "downed" it. It made me sad.

It was all about the characters with action as a secondary feature!! (which is part of what I've seen people complaining about. Not enough explsoions. WHAT) YESSSSSS. And I got way too excited about Daniel cursing. AMAZING.
Someone on my flist said it felt like old-school SG-1 (I AGREE), but they thought this was a bad thing.

I'm not surprised people are anti-Continuum because we have the crankiest fandom like ever. I honestly think there are fans who love finding fault with SG-1 just so they can pat themselves on the back when they stumble across excellent fic.
I haven't seen that episode. I was kind of mad at Eureka maybe. :/

Y'know what I really liked that surprised me? Vala was a blip on the radar. And I like Vala, but I really didn't care to have her in this. So that was really nice for me.
You really liked it, right? Cause all those cap replies makes it seem like there's some mocking going on and I don't think that's what's meant, but who knows as I'm not firing on all cylinders. Probably cause I don't know what ASJDFAHJK and KADFJKGH is.
Anyway, the film was much better than I was expecting and Daniel had some wonderful lines.
Continuum was so much better than Ark of Truth and I did like Ark of Truth. And Daniel? Oh, Daniel, my Daniel. ♥

AND LANDRY TOLD THEM NO TO FIXING THE TIME LINE!!! That was kind of my favorite part. Well, storywise. Okay, maybe not favorite, but it was pretty happy-making. I loved that Landy called them "arrogant" for thinking that they had the right to "fix" time. I LOVED that.
There was quite a bit about this that made me happy. But mostly Daniel. Hot damn, Daniel. I love him. Oodles.
I'm glad in this universe, Jack wasn't like, "OH MY GOD! SAMANTHA, MY ASTRONAUT WIFE, YOU HAVE RETURNED TO ME FROM THE GRAVE!" Although I was kind of annoyed that she was the only one to get a real "reaction shot" of Jack DYING in front of them. I was hoping we'd at least get a Daniel-distraught-face, but not really. :(

I rewatched Ark of Truth and while that was good, I LOVED this one so much more. It felt like the old school days of SG1 for some reason.
