Pushing Daises

I am so glad Pushing Daises isn't airing on Fox.

Lee Pace is incredibly cute and endearing and Bryan Fuller sits right below Joss on my TV-Kick-Ass-O-Meter. If you missed Pushing Daises tonight, you start watching it next week: ABC, Wednesdays 8pm EST.

Now. Where can I get icons?

Yesh, Lee is absofriggenlutely *adorable* (in a John Cusak kind of way, a little), as his "relationship" with Chuck -- they are too cute! ^^ :D Love Jim dale as the narrator, too. ^^ And the whole Tim-Burtonishness of the show. I'm having a hard time accepting his never coming in contact with the dog, though, and other similar small details. But I still plan on watching. :D

Bionic Woman has nearly lost me -- if the promo for next week didn't look so good in the Katee aspects, I wouldn't bother anymore.

I'm enamored. The End. :D

I still haven't watched Bionic Woman. I might just skip it entirely. No one has said anything extremely positive about it.

No show should go on Fox. NONE whatsoever. They should never be allowed to have another plot driven show ever again.

I wish they'd stop cancelling shows and just give the shows a chance to gain an audience. Fox seems to have forgotten the term "sleeper hit."

I watched the premier tonight and it was good, but i hope they really start doing something with it. I am going to give it a few more weeks since the first show had to spend over half the night setting things up. i am hopeful, but not yet really impressed - sorry....

I'm impressed because I know Bryan Fuller's other work so I'm fairly sure he already has a direction in mind. I think one of the faults of this episode is that it wasn't two hours. A two hour "Pie-lette" would have allowed for the info dump to have been drawn out and I think would have been better pacing to wrap up Chuck's murder (which I thought would be an on-going investigation, actually). But the quirkiness, the romance, the coloring all won me over.

I am so excited this is finally on. I was talking to one of our librarians yesterday about it, and a random lady stopped me on my way out to make sure it was starting tonight, not yesterday, because she was worried she would miss it. She was in a totally different demographic from me, too, so whoo-hoo! =)

Yay! I just want a Bryan Fuller show on the air, is that wrong? I figure if we can't have Joss, Bryan is probably the next best thing.

Pushing Daisies might be a nice idea for a movie or mini-series, but a series? Where do they wanna go? It feels like they've already told everything there is to that story.

Also, the show was too pretentious for me. I adored Wonderfalls, but Pushing Daisies was a bit too much for me.

I felt like they could have covered everything in two-hours, but I trust Bryan Fuller to do a decent job. Wonderfalls could have been a two-hour movie (as it was, it turned into a mini-series) and I think Fuller can capture that same magic in an on-going series.

The narrator makes it more pretentious, also the stylized coloring makes it seem more self-aware and less natural, but I think it's going to find its pace.

I liked the pilot, it just didn't fascinate me as much as Wonderfalls did. We'll see if Bryan Fuller manages to keep it fresh and interesting. He's a talented guy, that's for sure. I'm glad it's on ABC instead of FOX. :)

Wonderfalls captivated me more, but as the show built I fell more and more in love, which is why I have hopes for continued enjoyment in Pushing Daises.

I really hope ABC sticks with it and it's not too quirky for them. I honestly think the current forerunner of American television is NBC. They seem to be taking chances on excellent programming like Heroes and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (*mourns*). But ABC seems to be turning around, so maybe they'll keep the faith and not give up on Pushing Daises.

As much as I hate NBC for cancelling Studio 60, I'm grateful that they didn't cancel it right away. It was a huge risk to produce such an expensive show and they did try to keep it on the air. If only they'd chosen a better and less competetive time slot for the show in the first place, it might have succeeded, who knows?

Have you watched The West Wing yet? Its first seasons are made of awesome.

I'm glad I was patient with Heroes. I wasn't in love with it right away, but it grew on me pretty quickly. :)

I think ABC is in a tough place right now. Critics have been generous with Pushing Daisies, so I guess they won't cancel it too soon.
