For all my anime-friendly flisters who are not on
saiyuki, I bring you this PSA from
researchotaku:
I've just put in an order at rightstuf.com to finish off my Saiyuki Reload collection, and um, my Saiyuki collection because the Double Barrel discs were only $8.99! And I may have bought Vol. 1 of Peacemaker because $6.99, yay! So, um, I don't think I'll be buying that Ministry of Magic CD this month. . . . Heh heh.
Anyway, if anyone were to be wondering about something to buy me for that holiday that happens in December, I only have 1 disc of Saiyuki Reload Gunlock (Vol. 3, if you're wondering), and I'd love to get the rest before they all go bye-bye. (If you are thinking of picking up a disc for me, please let me know.)
Geneon announced recently that it's going out of business and that all of its titles will stop production.
This is a column discussing Geneon's going out of a business, including the advice as to what fans should do: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/answerman/2007-09-28
What Geneon's closing down means for Saiyuki fans is if you haven't bought the Saiyuki Reload and Saiyuki Reload Gunlock DVDs yet (and you want to buy them), you better do it soon because once they're gone, they're gone.
Feel free to spread the word to other Saiyuki fans or fans of Geneon-licensed shows.

I would like to have Reload, but I do have all the eps burned to CDs that my friend gave me, so I can live without it if necessary. And yes, Gunlock is sort of a waist of time. I mean, I do enjoy watching it, but yeah...I was so disappointed that they don't have the Hakkai vs. Goku youkai battle. Of course, that would be because Gunlock was completed way before that came out in the manga. ::sigh::
And yes! I'm crossing my fingers on that too! Hee hee...Braden is great as Hakkai. And I do love Illich as Gojyo too. ;)
I'm in my aural happy place. Right. Now. *dreamy sigh*
I think it's great how on the Requiem DVD they were saying that Braden got so into playing Hakkai that he'd act out the chi blasts. ;)
