Ooh, I love the internet.

First, we've got an exciting Saiyuki opportunity. emeraldeyes.net scanned and translated Neogandhara, one of Minekura's Saiyuki doujinshis. It's early work with some different character designs (Gojyo especially) and a very different Sanzo (he's creepy, really). A very interesting read for Saiyuki fans. You can download it here.

Second, we've got comic book hilarity in the Top 15 Unintentionally Funny Comic Book Panels. Take a trip through time and learn how when slang changes comic books get sexual! My favorite is the terrible stereotype in #7 because it's so bad, bad, bad it's hysterical. (And I totally can't believe that #3 is from an actual comic book. Just no way.)

Third, we've got Superdickery.com which is basically all about making fun of ~~Superman~~ comic covers. It's mostly a series of galleries that are perfect for killing time, but allow me to link to some of my favorites:

Hee! Great comic stuff and the Saiyuki dj was very interesting. How ripped was Kougaiji in that? :-) Although, I have to say I like prefer him skinny.

The Saiyuki dj was so interesting. Kougaiji was ridiculously ripped, but Sanzo! SANZO! *dies* OMG, he did the victory sign! And he was nice, NICE!!! *dies again* I think the "real" Sanzo would have shot the other guy in the head.

Also I love the panel with Gojyo, Hakkai, and Goku with the sign over their heads that says, "Stupid Youkai Trio." I kinda want an icon of that. *snickers*

Yeah, I think I prefer *our* Sanzo. I think I must have that problem Gojyo diagnosed Goku with: a tendency to get attached to bastards!

I like the Stupid Youkai Trio panel too. :-)

I was in Borders the other night picking up some books. One I was getting was the new Vampire Hunter D. I was in the manga/anime section and had to lgo and look for Saiyuki...only because of you. I saw a bunch of the books and giggled.

I love browsing superdickery so! It's so much fun! And that lovely burning of Jimmy's Father's Day gifts will forever remain one of my favorite comic book covers. I keep thinking of specifically buying that comic for the cover.
