Daniel Obsession:
What’s the Daniel of it?: Daniel explains his new theory about aliens and the Stargate system (see Translation Time). Once on Cimmeria, Daniel and Sam have to convince Kendra to help them save Jack and Teal’c from Thor’s Hammer which requires consulting the runes. After Kendra agrees to help, they take a little hiking trip. Daniel and Sam have an argument--and Daniel is the winner and still champion! Daniel is the one to fire the staff weapon that disarms Thor’s Hammer, effectively destroying his only hope for saving Sha’re.


Sam forgot the snacks. That’s why she’s walking behind everyone--she's shamed.

Translation Time/Artifact Alley: Daniel has an exciting new theory--throughout mythologies, there are two types of gods, tyrants and culture bearers--based on this knowledge and the actions of the Goa’uld, he suggests that there are good aliens that took on the persona of the Norse gods. Daniel suggests that Thor’s Hammer could be Goa’uld-fighting technology. Daniel also guesses that, being parasitical in nature, the Goa’ulds didn’t build the Stargate system.
