What’s the Daniel of it?: Daniel almost gets shot by Lt. Connor because--guess what--he was momentarily separated from the group. Daniel tests his culinary skills and discovers he makes mac n’ cheese that tastes like chicken (which could be considered a callback to the movie--Daniel thought the Abydonian meat tasted like chicken).

Daniel also spends most of the episode recounting Biblical history and allegory, such as the story of Abraham and that many significant events ran the course of 7 days. And later, Daniel and Teal’c play Pictionary!

He convinces one of the slaves that he’s just a man (a hot, hot man). He examines the shield device. He tries to convince the slaves that Hanson is not a god.

A personal note: After first watching this episode I asked Nick if the bandana comes back. He told me that Daniel frequently wears it off-world. I was extremely disappointed when the bandana didn’t return for several episodes.
