theemdash: SG-1 classic team (SG-1 Team)
If you’re confused, please see the Explanation. SG-1 Fun Facts for other episodes can be found here. Caps by Thalassa and are cropped and resized by me.

Previous Episode: Episode 1.01-1.02 “Children of the Gods” Fun Facts.

Episode 1.03 “The Enemy Within”

Planetary Tally: 1--SG-2 was ordered to go to P3575, and SG-1 to P38577. At the end of the episode SG-1 goes to P3575, so it can be assumed that SG-2 (not SG-1) explores P38577 (therefore P38577 does not count toward the SG-1 Planetary Tally).
Season/Series Total: 3

Episodic References: This episode directly relates to “Children of the Gods” (episode 1.01)—Kawalsky’s goa’uld, Teal’c’s betrayal of the goa’uld, the abduction of Sha’re

Quote of the Week:
Jack: Y’know, I’m kinda partial to P3575, if you don’t mind taking P38577.
Kawalsky: No, I’ll take P38577.
Jack: I’m not married to it. I want to be fair about this. How about we flip for it?
Hammond: How about you go where I tell you to?

Introducing: Dr. Warner

Hello Again: Kawalsky

Stargate Mythos: the iris is 3 micrometers from the event horizon and is similar to “bugs on a windshield”; the DHD is like a phone; the Tauri is established as Earth aka the First World—where all the human slaves/hosts originally came from; an infant goa’uld can’t exert complete control over a host; the Goa’uld cannot be surgically removed; Goa’uld have genetic memory; the Goa’uld symbiote does not communicate with its Jaffa; it is established that because Kawalsky’s Goa’uld could use SGC access codes that something of the host must remain; Teal’c is assigned to SG-1

Fashion Week: The traditional green with black tees--they don flak jackets at the end of the episode when they’re ready to go on a mission.

Auto Destruct: 3 (presumably set for 3 minutes each time)
Season/Series Total: 3

Full Body Exam: Kawalsky is examined, though not by Dr. Frasier. It’s implied that Sam is treated in the infirmary after the goa’uld in Kawalsky attacks her.

Laid Up: Kawalsky, though not a member of SG-1, is in the infirmary most of the episode.

Brain Washing 101:

Chain of Command:
Jack was a bit insubordinate when joking with Kawalsky about which planet they wanted to go to (see the Quote of the Week); Jack mouthed off to Hammond about questioning Teal’c’s loyalty to the SGC; Jack barges in during the inquisition of Teal’c; Jack mouths off to Hammond about Teal’c being taken for study

Putzing with Props: Jack fumbles with his hat a bit.

Daniel’s Dead: Season/Series Total: 1

Murray Alert: Season/Series Total: 1

Techno-Babble: Sam goes on about the iris being 3 micrometers from the event horizon.

Good Luck, SG-1:

There’s Always Room for Jello:

Stargate Scorin’:

Daniel--Season/Series Total: 1
Jack--Season/Series Total: 1

Daniel Obsession:
What’s the Daniel of it?:
Daniel spends most of his time worrying about the abduction of Sha’re. This leads him to be the one to discover the body of Dr. I’m-a-dead-extra, and to hope that the successful removal of the Goa’uld from Kawalsky could mean good news for Sha’re.

Translation Time/Artifact Alley: Daniel explains the DHD (although very briefly)

Caffeine Habit: Daniel has one cup as he talks with Sam about Sha’re and another during Kawalsky’s operation.

Headgear:
Flak Helmet: 1--Daniel puts it on as he enters the ‘Gate at the end of the episode
Season/Series Total: 2

Perfect Vision: Daniel takes his glasses off to wipe his eyes when talking to Sam.

Oh, Danny Boy:

Shooting a Load:

Mop Up, Aisle 5:
2--he was standing in the control room looking gorgeous—nice arms; Daniel in his flak jacket.

Seriously, look at that arm

The Season 1 finale is *good.* If you didn't know, it's a two-parter. I couldn't imagine watching it when it was new and being left with that cliff-hanger. I greatly dislike cliff-hangers that come at the end of a season. I think people who write them should be shot! (Though I understand that many writers do that in hopes that it will encourage them to be picked up for the next season)

Yes, you need to watch much more SG-1 so that way you can continue to read my Fun Facts as I post them. Also, so I can stop censoring myself.

The arm! The arm!! ::huggles the arm::

Well, I already have "Withing the Serpent's Gasp" and about this time tomorrow I will have the first one of Season 2 as well. Maybe I can keep up with your fun facts. I just don't think I will. I might have another ep that's hard to get in between there. But hey, you wanna get married and all that. I bet Nick wouldn't be happy if you were to do those fun fact things on the wedding day and on honeymoon.

And you don't have to censor yourself. I would just stop reading you, if you spoiled me once. And catch up when I'm up to Season 7.

I'm planning on posting about 2 a week. And right now I'm behind you. You may be able to keep up through most of Season 2.

But hey, you wanna get married and all that. I bet Nick wouldn't be happy if you were to do those fun fact things on the wedding day and on honeymoon.

::snort:: Well, the wedding won't be until Fall of 2005, and I'm hoping I'll be caught up with the SG-1 Fun Facts by then. Plus, Nick and I have already discussed saying "indeed" instead of "I do" during the ceremony (he's the one who got me into Stargate). He might enjoy watching Stargate on the honeymoon. ;)

And you don't have to censor yourself. I would just stop reading you, if you spoiled me once.

I will not spoil. Spoiling is bad. Also bad is making my friend not read my journal. ::sniff:: I need to be held. Daniel!

That sounds good. Hope I'll get the episodes fast. Will watch the season 1 finale and then the first one of sesaon 2, unless you explain to me, how I do that comment thing on your Buffy trivia.

And you are already preparing? Wow. That will be a well planed wedding.

Well, I wouldn't stop reading you. I would just stop reading as soon as I read anything remotely Stargate related. But I will start reading the next entry.

And Danny is in Miami right now. He might be there to visit you soon. And he didn't have any jello for the last week. So you better give him some. ;)

It was something I needed to fix. Which I did. It's all good now. Also, I posted a comment to lornyloo that has all the links to the other sets in it. It's in the Set 5 post.

We have to book the church and stuff way in advance. Also, we were originally planning for May 2005, but had to push it back to Fall. Weddings are full of stupid hoops to jump through anyway.

And Danny is in Miami right now. He might be there to visit you soon. And he didn't have any jello for the last week. So you better give him some. ;)

Absolutely! Just as long as he comes to hold me. Also I need to tattoo the symbol for Earth on his foot along with my address.

Well, he can have the jello while you tatoo his foot.

And getting married sounds like work. One more reason why I don't want to do it.

Yes. Then I will smear it on him.

I still haven't had jello. I need to make some tonight.

Eh. You find the guy. He's all geeky and yet musculey, and he puts up with your obsessions and quirks. And he asks. It happens sometimes without you realizing it.
 do it.

Well, first I need to find the guy. *gg*

I watched "Withing the Serpent's Gasp". I love it. I wanted to huggle Jack. That poor guy. I can see what Sarah sees in him. He had to shoot the boy he took in his son's place, after that son had shot himself with his gun.

And hey, they listened to Danny and Danny in black is just hot. How could they end a Season like this? I would have died. And I heard they did something like that for this Season (7) too.

OH DEAR GOD YES! Now you're making me want to watch that instead of the next episode for SG Fun Facts (which is "Cold Lazarus," if you want to know).

How could they end a Season like this? I would have died.

Same here. I would not have been happy. It's like Alias (do you watch Alias?); they end every season on these huge cliffhangers that make me run my head into walls.

And I heard they did something like that for this Season (7) too.

WHAT?! NOOOOOOOO!!! I'm up to the last two episodes of Season 7. I don't want a cliffhanger. Okay, so I'll only have to wait about a month, but still--cliffhangers = bad.

Oh, sorry. I thought you were done with Season 7. Didn't want to spoil you. Well, I can't really spoil you, because I have no clue what happens. I only know that Sarah was upset, that she needed to wait til July to get to know how it will go on. And she was not please about the fact. I needed to console her. But hey, once you had the last two eps, it'll almost be July. So no extra long waiting for you. ;)

And no, I watched the first five eps of Alias, they bored me more than entertained me and even though I get told they got a lot better after that and I get shown lots and lots of Sark pics and told stuff about him, that might me want to put jello in his pants, I refuse to watch that show again. I have enough obsessions already. I can be strong. At least till I don't have anything to download anymore. I might come back to Alias then. But I don't think so.

Dangit. I guess I'll have an extra-extra special birthday then (Season 8 premiers on my birthday. It's the Sci-Fi channel's gift to me).

they bored me more than entertained me

There are parts that make me want to hit my head into the wall, but I do enjoy it. It's highly complicated and episodic and I like that. Plus, Sydney is so frickin' cool and Vaughn is the Alias version of Daniel. He's my Alias boyfriend. :D

Yes. Sark and jello are mixy things. ::drool::

Well, I can't afford to watch tv just for the hot guys. I might have to start watching soaps too in that case. And I still have enough of a life to not start with those.

Yes. Sark and jello are mixy things. ::drool::
Yes, I think they are. I will make Daisy write me some.
