I don't know why exactly, but the time traveling and paths crossing is kicking major butt on this show - even if they are "bending" (or rather inventing) the rules all over again. So awesome.
Though I have to say that it really bothers me that Future!Hiro didn't know Claire had been saved. He should have had that knowledge because Hiro had that knowledge. So it's like they didn't just time travel, they also slipped into a parallel dimension.
They really did slip into a parallel world, a la Back to the Future. future!Hiro didn't know Claire had been saved, he went back to the subway in the hopes of getting Peter to save her, but since his world never changed for the better (or, he didn't blink out of existence), he had to assume that his trip to see Peter didn't pay off. Now that he knows that Claire was saved, he can continue looking for the mistake. Plus, they were hiding Claire from everyone. PLUS, maybe this is why they didn't blow up when they met each other. They are for all intents and purposes two different Hiros.
Still, much with the awesome. And very Wishverse, as spectralbovine pointed out.
