Wizard Rock Day

Wrock on! It's Wizard Rock Day! I had some trouble coming up with my list because I have an intense love for The Remus Lupins. I have, however, squashed down that love to come up with a more rounded list of my top ten favorite Wizard Rock songs. And I should stress that these are my current favorite songs because Wizard Rock is a wonderful thing and my favorite songs change quite frequently (did I mention my intense love for The Remus Lupins?).

1. SPOILERS FOR HP7 Wizards Who Died by Remus and the Lupins
And, Padfoot, I miss you more than all the others / And I salute you, brother!

2. Wizard Rock Twist by The Remus Lupins
And it's plain to see that even Harry P. would do the twist.

3. Wizard Rock Heartthrob by The Whomping Willows
It soon became clear that rockin' wasn't enough / If you're gonna score with groupies than you gotta be a hunk.

4. Voldemort Is Awesome by Draco and the Malfoys
Voldemort, I think that you are freakin' awesome / Don't you know that I want to be freakin' awesome, too?

5. Slug Club by Harry and the Potters
You can be the teacher's pet or you can pet the teacher in the Slug Club

6. Snape Vs. Snape by Ministry of Magic
But now there are no layers of evil left to shed / and if he heard me sing this song I'd would be good as dead.

7. The Boy Who Lived by Oliver Boyd and the Rememberalls
He's the one they call Harry Potter / lightnin' scar and hair like his father's / with the task only he can do / he'll keep fightin' 'til the fighting's through

8. My Dad Is Rich by Draco and the Malfoys
My mom says she loves me / when she tucks me into bed. / How's your mommy doing / in the mirror of Erised?

9. Victory Party by The Remus Lupins
Voldemort's been hoisted on his own petard / all over the years I know he's been waiting, eagerly anticipating / a coup de grace for the Boy Who Lived, the only one he ever feared / poor Harry's been through enough without needing a Deus Ex Machina.

10. The Firebolt by Harry and the Potters
Riding that broom would be so fun / putting dust on Malfoy's two-thousand and one.

If you've made your own Wizard Rock post, let me know and I'll add your link here!
[livejournal.com profile] dragonbtween has a post here which covers some songs I almost put on my list and showcases her love of Draco.
[livejournal.com profile] roadtriphome has a post here which is much more focused since she's fairly new to Wizard Rock (and not quite as obsessed as I am).
[livejournal.com profile] amedia has a post here which is a list of a bunch of songs I haven't heard. Wrock!
[livejournal.com profile] getaway_machine has a post here which focuses on humor. Oh yes, humor.
