Oh, thank God I found this. As a dyed in the wool J/D OTPer, fic writer and vidder I felt like I'd had my heart ripped out by Unending. I just don't buy Daniel and Vala as a couple. And I absolutely don't buy the fact that if, and it's a big IF, Daniel meant those things he said in the rant that he would fold like a house of cards just because Vala started boo-hooing.
So, after a week of raging against the apparent dying of the J/D light, I've decided that I've never needed canon to validate my pairing of choice and I'm bloody well not going to start now!
Jack and Daniel? Carve it on my tombstone cus it's unending, baby.
